Decatur man arrested after he broke into ex-girlfriend’s home, assaulted, stole her phone

DECATUR, Ala. (WAFF) - Officers responded to a burglary in progress call at a home near Morgan Ave in Decatur on April 9.

During the course of the investigation, officers determined that Sha’King Stover, 32, unlawfully entered his ex-girlfriend’s residence. Officers said after entering her home Stover assaulted her and stole her cell phone.

According to DPD, Stover also allegedly assaulted another woman inside the residence prior to fleeing the scene.

Decatur police located Stover near the residence with the stolen cell phone in his possession.

He was arrested and charged with first-degree domestic violence and burglary. He was transported to the Morgan County Correctional Facility where he is being held on a $200,000 bond.
