Heavy rainfall, gusty winds and lightning hit hard throughout north Alabama Thursday night. Showers are moving to the east and breaking apart on the way out.
Clouds will slowly clear out overnight, giving us another night in the 40s. The start to your Friday is expected to be cool and breezy and without fog.
We will see another chance at rain rolling into your Mother’s Day weekend that will extend into the following week. Temperatures will pretty well stay in the 70s for much of the next 10 days. This chance of rain will move in late Sunday evening and continue overnight into Monday.
